Tilfellet tilfeldig

- Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel (1770-1831)

Håper dette gav litt mer klarhet rundt dette merkelige fenomenet som ikke nødvendigvis eksister i den form vi helst ville det skulle gjøre...

A bloodgood Thursday Morning

medium_blodbanken250x188.4.jpgThis morning I decided to give myself away! - At least small amounts of myself. More precisely: I have registered myself as blood-donor at the local Hospital. Half a litre of my blood will soon be removed from my body and placed in someone else!  - That's a strange thought! But first they have to test my blood to see if it fulfils the medical requirements. I wonder what kind of person that will be the happy winner of my precious blood? I encourage everyone else to do the same. And think about this quote I put togheter (freely inspired of some Depeche Mode lyric):

 - It's only when you give yourself to someone else that you find yourself

Of course, this saying have to be understood in the most profound metaphorical way. Let's start a social movement - to help where the help is needed!

Keep on going!

Nothing great in the world has ever been accomplished without passion

Øystein - The king of colours

medium_oystein.jpgIf you have good eyes then you will notice the remarkable connexion beetween the colour of Øystein's sweater (to the left) and the colours of my blog. Here we find ourselves in the classic dilemma: Who came first? - the sweater or the blog? Well, I have to admit that this picture is taken from a holiday trip to Italy last summer... But on the other hand the picture was inserted in my blog today.... Anyway I used the eyedrop-function in photoshop to steel the colours from Øystein's sweater to my blog. Your clothes has now gone world wide on the web! Soon we will se small children running around in Japan wearing yellow and brown stripes. You fashion King! And Åge (to the right): You long faced funny friend! See you around guys. Happy new year!

C.S. Lewis - discover his great authorship

If you haven't read any books written by C.S Lewis you still got the chance. In my early teens I discovered one of his "easy-to-read" books in my fathers bookshelf; The Screwtape Letters. This fiction novel is both entertaining and meaningful - more precisely it is about letters from a senior devil to an incompetent junior devil. His apologetic works including "Miracles" was challenging reading during my studies at the University. C.S Lewis presents clear thoughts and strong logical arguments in his attemt to explain the natural exigency of the supernatural realm. For norwegian readers I recomend this article by Jon Vegard Hugaas at bt.no C.S Lewis - skeptikernes apostel. And by the way - why not read the books about Narnia before the next coming films based on this masterpiece. For more info - go to the article about C.S Lewis including his bibliography at Wikipedia.

The age of the synths is here to come

After being unseen in universe of rock for ages the synthezizer is again calling for your attention. I belive it's now time again to explore the deepts of perfectly premade sounds! And if I'm right you will hear a lot of smooth lines bringing the finest art of friendship between the organic and the synthetic in the nearest future. Check it out and be the vehicle for the music of tomorrow...
